When picking, we do not take the youngest leaves and bud, but the souchong leaf: more ripe and larger leaves from the lower parts of the branches. After fermentation, these leaves are put on hot iron pans or iron plates and roasted for a short time, then the tea is smoked on exotic resin-rich woods.
